The fortress of Cardona and the War of the Spanish Succession "Cardona 1714: The impregnable fortress"
A tour of the crown of bastions that encircles the mountain on which Cardona Castle stands to study the defensive strategy of the military fortresses of the modern era. The whole visit is estructured on the basis of the War of the Spanish Succession, because Cardona Castle was one of the great players in the conflict and was the last fortress to fall to the Bourbon army. The reasons for the outbreak of the war are explained, its progress and the key figures, the principles of warfare and the consequences of the conflict for Catalonia.
Intended for children from 15 to 18.
