LIEDER BY SCHUBERT AND OTHER COMPOSERS 

MIREIA TARRAGÓ, soprano
Born in Tarragona en 1995. She started her music education studying guitar, but at 14 begins vocal training at the Tarragona Music Conservatory. She recently earned ahigher level degree from ESMUC and is currently enrolled in its Victoria de los Ángeles Masters in Lied. A recipient of several awards and scholarships, she has taken part in the LIFE Victoria Festival twice: as New Generation Artist in tis 2016 opening concert and in a solo recital in 2017. In December 2016, she makes her solo debut performing the  oratorio El Pessebre by Pau Casals at the Bordeaux National Auditorium, conducted by Marc Minkowski. In 2017, she performed Mozart's Requiem at the Tarragona Cathedral, under conductor Montse Rios. In the 2017/18 season she debuts at Palau de la Música Catalana performing Micaëla (Carmen).

FRANCESC ORTEGA, baritone
He began his musical training at Escolania de Montserrat, debuting as a child soloist at Gran Teatro del Liceo in the role of Peasblosom (A Midsummer Night's Dream). He studied singint at ESMUC and earned a Master's degree in Opera and Concert at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg. During this time, he was awarded the Victoria de los Ángeles Scholarship as well as the Bach Scholarship by the Bach zum Mitsingen Foundation. He is currently enrolled in Solistenexamen postgraduate studies in Freiburg, where he has also received the Konzerthaus Freibuerg Förderpreis 2017 prize. His passion for lieder began early on during his studies in Barcelona. In recent years, he has given recitals in Germany and Spain, debuting in 2017 at the Schubertiade Tamba (Japan). He has performed the roles of Papageno (The Magic Flute), Guglielmo (Cosi fan tutte), Podestat (Le docteur Miracle), Ben (The telephone) and Pacuvio (La pietra del paragone). During 2018 he will perform as soloist in Germany, Catalonia, Switzerland and France.

MARINA PELFORT, piano
Born in Castellbisbal, she began piano lessons at age 6. In 2009 she enrolled at ESMUC to study Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance under professor María Jesús Crespo. She has also received piano soloist lessons from professors Luiz de Moura Castro, Alba Ventura, Albert Atenelle and Jordi Vilaprinyó, among others. She specialized in lied, coursing the Master in Lied Victoria de los Ángeles at ESMUC with pianists Josep Surinyac and Francisco Poyato. Alongside soprano Mireia Tarragó, she was a finalist in the Papel de Música de Capellades in 2016 and won the 2017 New Musical Creations prize in Vilanova i la Geltrú. She has performed at Palau de la Música Catalana, the Torroella de Montgrí Fringe Festival, the European Museum of Modern Art's concert cycle, Ateneo Barcelonés, the Eutherpe Theater in León, and the Metropol Theater in Tarragona.

VICTORIA GUERRERO, piano
Awarded the best pianist prizes at the Das Lied-International Song Competition in Heildelberg (2017) and at the Paula-Salomon-Lindberg-Liedwettbewerbs at Universität der Künste Berlin (2015), Guerrero has extensive training as a soloist. Established in Germany, she has in recent years focused exclusively on the lieder repertoire, after discovering her affinity for in 2014. She is coursing the Master in Liedgestaltung programme at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg and is currently enrolled at Solistenexamen postgraduate studies at the Musikhoschschule in Karlsruhe. She received scholarships from FrauenFörderStipendium and Asociación de Juventudes Musicales de Madrid and has been a guest of several lied cycles in Germany, such as the 19. Bonner Schumannfests im Schumann-Haus in Bonn, the Festival im Frühling in Heidelberg and the LiederAbend.de cycle in Freiburg.
